Twitter

I thought of writing a post about S6 just after its beginning..but my interest changed from blogging to microblogging, using twitter.I prefer twitter than orkut , or facebook .If you used it once surely you will continue using it.


Why i prefer Twitter ?

* Here in twitter , surely you won't waste time on surfing profiles of some unknown guys,going through the scrapbook,then visiting your community page.In twitter , you have only a single page which looks like the scrapbook of orkut.There you get all the updates written by persons whom you are following.(these scraps are known as tweets in twitter).

* You can follow persons whom you want only.you can get to know what they are doing..you can send direct messages to them.Direct messages are not shown to others.Its private ,ie from sender to reciever only .

* You can make lists of people

* Another important thing is that there are many applications availabe for PC/ mobile phones so that you can use twitter directly..No need to be infront of the computer always.Or even in computer ,no need to open up your firefox always.( And in linux , i think you can even tweet from the command terminal . ). I know there are applications for orkut and others also , but i feel it will be difficult to browse through the scrapbook then the community page..etc

* And another big thing , that i think neither orkut nor facebook has is that you can display your tweets in your website/blogs or anywhere.Now this is a new trend that almost all website you visits will be having follow us on twitter link or their tweets up in their sidebar..You can see my tweets in the sidebar of this blog..I think this is the main advantage twitter has over the other competants.
